Are you a manager, director, or team leader in the youth sector? This self-paced online course is designed to strengthen your leadership and help you support and improve the quality of youth work. Through six practical and inspiring modules, the Online Masterclass for Leaders and Directors in Youth Work will equip you with tools for strategic planning, team management, youth participation, and more.
What is this course about?
The Online Masterclass for Leaders and Directors in Youth Work is a self-paced training course created as part of the Erasmus+ project “Strengthening Leaders to Support Youth Work.”
It is designed for managers, directors, and coordinators working in youth centres, organisations, and networks.
Through six engaging and practice-oriented modules, the course supports you in developing the leadership mindset and concrete skills needed to lead youth work with care, vision, and confidence.
You will:
- Strengthen your capacity to manage and support staff and volunteers.
- Reflect on your personal leadership style and grow as a leader.
- Explore strategies for long-term sustainability of youth organisations.
- Engage young people in programme co-creation and decision-making.
- Improve your communication, visibility, and dissemination practices.
- Learn to advocate for youth and shape policies that matter.
Whether you're new to leadership or looking to deepen your impact, this course will meet you where you are and support your growth.
Timing & duration of the course:
- Piloting phase: July–August 2025
- Public launch: October 2025
- Course format: Self-paced online learning
- Estimated duration: ~12 hours per module
Participants can choose which modules they wish to follow and complete them at their own pace.
Language: English, Slovenian, Estonian, Latvian, Finninsh, Italian, Spanish and Macedonian.
Learning recognition:
- Digital learning badges are awarded upon completion of each module.
- Certificate of completion is issued to participants who complete at least 80% of the tasks in three or more modules.
Content overview:
- Module 1. Staff Management > Build and lead effective teams, support onboarding, boost motivation, and foster collaboration and belonging.
- Module 2. Personal Growth and Wellbeing > Develop emotional intelligence, strengthen resilience, and lead with authenticity while taking care of your own mental health.
- Module 3. Organisational Sustainability > Learn strategic planning, resource management, and funding diversification to ensure long-term impact.
- Module 4. Programme Planning with Young People > Put youth participation into practice by involving young people in designing and shaping your programmes.
- Module 5. Disseminating Youth Work Impact > Communicate the value of your work through compelling storytelling, data, and digital tools that increase visibility and influence.
- Module 6. Advocacy and Policy Dialogue > Explore how to engage in meaningful advocacy and policy-making processes that support and empower young people.
