Course description
The Inclusionary MOOC is a self-paced online course designed to help youth workers create more inclusive, accessible and engaging learning experiences for young people with fewer opportunities. Through practical methods, creative approaches and ready-to-use resources, participants will learn how to better understand young people’s needs and apply arts-based methods that foster participation, inclusion and personal development. The course combines theory with practical application, allowing participants to immediately transfer what they learn into their own youth work practice.

This course has been developed within the Erasmus+ Cooperation Partnership “Inclusionary” by a consortium of organisations committed to promoting inclusion through non-formal education. Its purpose is to equip youth workers, educators, trainers and facilitators with practical tools that help create meaningful learning experiences for young people with fewer opportunities.
Rather than focusing only on theory, the course follows one guiding principle:
Can I use this activity with my group tomorrow?
Every module has therefore been designed to provide practical methods, ready-to-use activities and resources that can be directly adapted to different learning contexts.
What will you learn?
The course consists of an introductory section, four learning modules and a final reflection section.
During your learning journey you will explore:
- Needs Analysis – understanding the needs of young people and designing more inclusive activities.
- Music & Movement Methods – using music, rhythm and movement to encourage participation, expression and group cohesion.
- Visual Arts Methods – applying creative visual techniques to foster accessibility, creativity and inclusion.
- Theatre Methods – using theatre-based activities to strengthen communication, confidence, empathy and participation.
The course concludes with a final reflection and self-assessment, allowing you to evaluate your learning progress.
