This e-course introduces participants to trauma-informed approaches in youth work, helping them understand what trauma is, its impact on individuals and communities, and why trauma-informed practice is essential today. It explores key principles for creating safe and supportive environments, while also supporting youth workers’ own wellbeing. 

The course offers practical tools such as mindfulness, body awareness and resilience-building techniques. It also addresses how to discuss crisis, conflict, and war with young people through trauma-informed peace education, and provides resources and guidance for applying these approaches in real-life youth work settings.

A short introductory course for everyone interested in exploring trauma-informed approaches in youth work and experiencing some of the platform’s interactive features. Participants can engage in selected activities, gain practical insights, and receive a badge upon completion. The course can be completed individually, but learning together with a peer is encouraged for a richer experience.
