HOP noticeboard
HOP is back!
After a month of emergency situation with the HOP platform it seems the situation is quite much under control now. Here are the novelties:
- the Moodle was updated from 4.0 to 4.5, meaning there are a number of new features, but a number of them will be enabled on a run, depending in the necessity and requirements from the courses' creators.
- You can check what is new in Moodle 4.5 in this longer webinar: https://youtu.be/n14R5PHsUcg?feature=shared, or read here: https://moodle.com/news/moodle-lms-45-unlock-the-power-of-ai-for-your-courses
- as SALTO is slowly moving to the new domain (and a new web-page coming soon), so the HOP also had to change its address. The basic domain is now HOP.saltonetwork.eu There is also redirection from the old HOP.salto-youth.net, so hopefully the old links are not broken. Now, we also have a back-up domain: HOPlearning.eu, to prevent such a malfunction as we experienced recently. The back-up domain will also serve for mailing.
- the possibility to login via mySALTO is still possible and functioning, but with the SALTO web-page changes, this can experience problems in the future, so if you are a new user, we strongly advise to create your own, unique profile directly at HOP.
- and finally the mailing should work from today on. This means, the platform will send email notifications for calendar events (of your courses, etc.) or messages, but also that creating new profiles at HOP and requesting password reset is again possible.
Now it is a time to clean the HOP platform after all this changes and make it even more user-friendly again. It will take time for cleaning after this big reconstructions, so please accept some minor layout inconveniences. If you encounter anything disturbing, please email us at HOP@salto-youth.net
